Vitamins

I've been gathering information on vitamins in the past few days and therefore I've came out with these tables:

In government hospitals, vitamins aren't commonly prescribed for supplementation purposes. Instead, they are used only when a deficiency is suspected or when a patient presents with signs of deficiency. However, as time goes by and more journal articles are published, the importance of vitamins has become widely acknowledged among us healthcare providers.

Vitamins, although they're just a minute part of a complete daily nutrients requirement, their roles are equally important as other macro & micronutrients. Most of them works as coenzymes and cofactor in various cellular functions. Without these cofactors, our body key metabolic pathways slow down or even stop entirely, even if we’re eating enough carbohydrates, fats, and proteins.

For example, my favourite Krebs Cycle requires Thiamine (Vitamin B1) for the conversion of pyruvate into acetyl-CoA. Meanwhile Riboflavin (Vitamin B2), Niacin (Vitamin B3) & Panthotenic acid (Vitamin B5) form part of FAD and NAD⁺, the coenzymes that carry electrons during energy production. Without these vitamins, the Krebs Cycle cannot run efficiently, and therefore energy production in a form of ATP (adenosine triphosphate) drops, leading to poor cellular function and thus manifested as a persistent fatigue.

TBC.....

And being defeated brings about another kinda frustration I couldn't describe it.

🥺

Something bad had happened ytd, 16. 01.26 5:25pm.

Reached home at 8pm bcs of that.

I hate the feeling of regretting.

'What if' kinda stuff...

But what happened, had happened. I gotta bear the consequences.

Although I still left with a tiny bit of hope that everything is gonna be okey ASAP.

Happy 2026!

I don’t usually write down my New Year’s resolutions and I haven’t shared them on any of my socials either. Maybe that’s where I got it wrong. So for this new year, I actually have a few things or events that I’m really looking forward to😁😁

I started the new year by trying Pilates for the first time. Haha! I’ve wanted to try it for quite a while but never actually did. Why? Because lack of courage and motivation of course. Haha. Now that I’ve just gotten back from Tawau and gained 2 kilos which was crazyyyy therefore no more excuses or procrastination. Strict diet turns on right away.

Secondly… I can’t wait to attend a concert in Bukit Jalil in February 2026. Tickets are bought and seats are secured! I haven’t been to a concert in ages, so the excitement is definitely there😆

As for my career advancement, I’m looking forward to my promotion in March this year. Hihi. Fingers crossed that everything goes as planned🤞 2025 was a year full of color for my career. I initiated a few new items and added them to our IV Admixture catalogue, such as

  • Jun 25: Insulin 1u/ml eye drops
  • July 25: IV phenylephrine 100mcg/ml
  • July 25: IV alteplase 0.25mg/ml
  • Oct 25: IV heparin saline 1u/ml in 0.45% sodium chloride
  • as well as our new baby— Dec 25: OPAT IVI cefazolin 6g/240ml

Despite had a staff reshuffling and sudden a lot of PN cases towards the end of the year, everything still fall into places as planned and my long holiday went undisturbed, Pheww~~

When it comes to the kiddos, I’m planning to send them to a few tuition classes as the syllabus is getting tougher and I might not be able to closely monitor their lessons. I haven’t really found a center yet, but I guess I need to act quickly before they fall behind, right?

I guess that is that for this moment will update later!
